Kannada Rajyotsava @ St. Anthony’s PU College,
Kengeri, Bangalore
With the true spirit of “Kannada nadu, nudi,
jala, nela” St. Anthony’s P.U. College
celebrated the 61st Kannada Rajyotsava with
great pomp and grandeur. The Chief Guest Dr.
Raju Gundapura, Professor at Ramanagara First
Grade College, lighted the lamp and addressed
the gathering highlighting the history and
relevance of Kannada Rajyotsava. While hailing
the beauty and splendour of the Kannadigas and
of Karnataka, he insisted that every citizen
must be an educated civilian and a well-behaved
human person. He insisted on value-based
education so that we can contribute to the
nation and make a difference for the generations
to come. Kannada patriotism was displayed by the
students through a variety of medley cultural
programmes. Musical melodies, dances, songs and
beats swayed the audience to another world of
“Janapada Jagathu”. Tiny tots from the
neighbourhood “Kala Academy” joined the College
Students to express their maiden love towards
kannada culture and heritage. Jai
