Philosophy is considered to be the mother of all sciences as it provides foundation to all branches of knowledge through inquiry into the basic perspectives and questions of human existence. Its scope extends to all dimensions of reality and attempts to elucidate the interrelation between the human, the divine and the temporal, giving rise to a holistic vision to all rational and intellectual undertakings. In no way philosophy can be characterized as only a theoretical enterprise as it plays an important role in molding not only the moral perspectives of its student but also provides universal principles to evaluate the ethical aspects of human engagements.
