COVID-19 Relief @ St Anthony’s Institutions
What the world needs now is solidarity. With
solidarity we can defeat the virus and build a
better world. In response to this call
for action, Darshan College and St Anthony’s PU
College, units of St Anthony’s Institutions have
passionately plunged into action to carry out
the relief work to the distressed and the
derelict of the society on account of Covid-19
pandemic. This gesture of Charity was
implemented in three phases. Firstly, the
Institute took the initiative to provide food
kits containing various grocery items to 40 poor
Students’ families and a few neighbouring
families. Secondly, a good number of daily
labourers and slum dwellers of the rural areas
were the recipients of this noble venture.
Thirdly, the BBMP which represents the third
level of Government was helped. The Bruhat
Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike is the
administrative body responsible for civic
amenities and some infrastructural assets of the
Greater Bangalore metropolitan area. Nearly 120
BBMP workers in and around Kengeri zone were the
beneficiaries of the Covid-19 relief material.
