75th Independence day Celebration @ St. Anthony’s Institutions
On the jubilant occasion of 75th anniversary of Independent India, St Antony PU College and Darshan Degree college came together to celebrate the propitious moment. The program started at 9 o clock with the magnificent welcome to the Chief Guest: Dr Anupama Panchakshari, Rev. Fr. Robin Victor D’Souza Director St. Anthony’s Institutions, Rev. Fr. Roshan Rosario Principal St. Anthony’s PU College, and Rev. Fr. Joy D’Souza Principal Darshan Degree College. All the dignitaries were welcomed with the grandeur and magnificence of the proud NCC and NSS Unit, followed by the march-past leading to the flag hoisting etiquette at 9:15, our Chief Guest was introduced to the gathering by Prof. Renuka, faculty of Commerce and Management, followed by the stimulating speech delivered by the Chief Guest. Followed by the cultural program in the auditorium, where PU students performed brilliantly to pay tribute to the freedom fighters, soldiers and doctors who strived for the motherland, the powerful performance were utterly emotional. Where the degree students celebrated the different attires and traditions of the states of the country, which left the audience cheering. The program ended with the thought provoking message and gratitude by the Director.
