Teachers Day at
St. Anthony’s Institutions: St.
Anthony’s PU College & Darshan College
Teachers' Day celebrated on September 5
in India every year marks the birth
anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr
Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a teacher, who
was the first Vice President and second
President of India. When he was elected
President of India in 1962, his friends
and students wanted to celebrate his
birthday, to which he said that it would
be his honor if September 5 was marked
as Teachers’ Day. Since then, Teachers’
Day is celebrated on September 5.

Radhakrishnana, St. Anthony’s Institute:
St. Anthony’s P.U. College and Darshan
College jointly organized Teachers Day
celebration for the Teaching faculties
of the institute. Director Rev. Fr.
Robin Victor D’souza in his key note
addressed said “Teachers are the
backbone of our institute. They have the
privilege to transform students into
worthy citizens. They transform them
into people of value and character”The
institute organized few indoor fun games
to the teaching faculty moderated by
Prof. Sri Nidhi and Pro. Santhosh. Fr.
Roshan Rosario Principal of St.
Anthony’s P.U. College thanked the
teaching faculty for their selfless,
longstanding service for the growth of
St. Anthony’s Institute. All the
teaching faculties were taken to the
restaurant for a sumptuous lunch along
with a small gift as a token of
gratitude and recognition for their
meritorious service in molding and
guiding the young minds.
