The department of Commerce, Management &
Computer Sciences organised One days
national level seminar on “Recent Trends
in Commerce, Management & Computer
Sciences” on 23rd May 2024 under
INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL(IQAC)
A research conference is an opportunity
for professionals and students to
present research findings to gain
experience in their respective streams,
receive valuable inputs about how to
strengthen their work, and disseminate
exciting and cutting-edge findings from
their field of study
The aim of the seminar was to bring
together academicians, educators and
students in Subject to hold open
discussion on the Latest Trends in
Commerce, Management & Computer
sciences.
The National Conference on “Recent
Trends in Commerce, Management &
Computer Sciences” – has been designed
to create a Platform for Researchers
across the nation to showcase their
Research Potentials through their
Research Work.
The seminar was inaugurated in presence
of Rev. Fr Robin Victor D’Souza,
Director of St Anthony’s Institution and
Rev. Fr Joy D’Souza Principal of Darshan
College, and the resource persons of the
seminar Prof. Amaranath R and Prof.
Radhika J. The dignitaries were welcomed
by Gunashree of VI Sem BCOM. Key note
address was given by Rev. Fr Robin
Victor D’Souza. A brief introduction
about the chief guest was given by Prof
Sneha, department of Computer Science.
The 1st session of the seminar was
commenced by Prof. Radhika J addressed
the crowd on the topic of Recent
Technological Trends in the area of
Commerce and Management. The development
and maintenance of business has become a
comparatively easy task due to recent
technological development that was
explained to the participants by her
effectively and also shared her
knowledge regarding Digital Marketing in
present times. Participants were
enlightened about the influence of
different social media on current
business situations. and also discussed
various recent trends in commerce and
management. she highlighted that it was
immensely important in recent times to
practice the various trends in commerce
and management.
The session was followed by Prof.
Amaranath R who discussed on topic of
Big Data with the concepts like
architecture, layers, characteristics,
Big Data Analytics Tools. He briefly
explained about Hadoop-High Availability
Distributed Object Oriented Platform,
real time applications and the
importance of big data models and
algorithms in research. Big data
technology is widely connected with
emerging and latest technologies like
Machine Learning (ML), Artificial
Intelligence (AI), and the Internet of
Things (IoT). The session was very
knowledgeable and informative.
