Orientation Program 24-25 @ Darshan College
“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all”.

The orientation program for the academic year 2024-2025 took place on August 5, 2024, in the seminar hall at Darshan College under the IQAC. Starting at 9:30 AM, it warmly welcomed the freshers, marking the beginning of their academic journey and encouraging them to explore their goals. The event was attended by 99 Commerce, 15 Management, and 71 Computer Application students. The main aim of the program was to familiarize students with the academic aspects of their courses and the college's rules and regulations.
The program was inaugurated with the prayer song then followed by lighting the lamp. Darshan College warmly welcomed the students, highlighting its global vision, noble mission, and core values.
The program continued with presentations from the Heads of various departments, who shared valuable information about the State Education Policy (SEP) syllabus for the first-year B. Com, BBA, and BCA degree courses, as well as details about the university examination pattern. This was followed by an introduction to the faculty members, who provided insights into their professional profiles.
The program was presided by Rev. Fr. Joy D’Souza, Principal of Darshan College. He addressed the students, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and goals, and emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive outlook and following a general code of conduct.
The Honourable Director Rev. Fr. Robin Victor D’Souza addressed the students, offering words of encouragement and support. He emphasized the importance of dedication, hard work, and integrity in their academic journey, and urged them to take full advantage of the opportunities available to them at Darshan College.
Finally, the program concluded with vote of thanks, followed by the national anthem.
