Pencil Sketch @ Darshan College
Janmashtami is a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna, who is considered the eighth avatar (incarnation) of Lord Vishnu. It usually falls in the Hindu month of Bhadrapada, which corresponds to August or September in the Gregorian calendar. The festival is observed on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in the month of Bhadrapada.
Janmashtami holds great significance for devotees who follow the Bhakti (devotional) tradition, and it is celebrated with enthusiasm and devotion in various parts of India and by the global Hindu community. The festival is an occasion for spiritual reflection, cultural activities, and communal gatherings.
