Freshers’ Day @ Darshan College

‘If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving’ – Martin Luther King Jr. Freshers’ Day is a day to walk together, to begin to know each other: The Seniors and the New-comers. Freshers’ Day with the theme conservation of Environment was held at our institution with extravaganza on the 14th of July 2018. It was an explosion of talent, showcasing the performances by the senior and super senior students. The Fresher Girls featured themselves with green attire and the Boys in Black and White. The Significance of this attire was Green represents nature and nature represents women: ‘Black and white - Ready to Fight’ was the resolution taken by the boys to fight against deforestation. Ms. Nayana Rajeev, Reporter of One India - India’s No.1 Language Portal and Ms. Sandhya Manjunath, Operations Manager, Basket Ball Federation of India were the Chief Guests for the day. They appreciated the efforts of the management and the faculty in making this Institution vibrant and lively by providing a platform for numerous activities and urged the students to make full use of them. Ms. Nerlin and Mr. Nitin Francis of I Sem BCom were declared as the Ms. Fresher and Mr. Fresher 2018 respectively.
