Session on Gender Equality: St.
Anthony’s College
Young people of all genders play a vital
role in the development process and
nation-building. Recognizing the
importance of gender equality is crucial
for addressing gender disparities,
inequality, and fostering a safe and
inclusive society for all. With this
objective in mind, the Women Cell
organized a session on 19th March 2025
at Pace Bene Hall, St. Anthony's
College, Bangalore. The session
commenced with an address by Rev. Fr.
Joy, Principal of St. Anthony's College,
who emphasized the significance of
understanding and advocating for gender
equality. Ms. Agatha, the resource
person, delivered an informative talk on
the concept of gender equality,
highlighting its importance and
discussing various forms of gender-based
discrimination and inequality. Through
interactive activities, Ms. Agatha
encouraged students to reflect on their
perspectives and promote inclusive
behavior. The session provided students
with an opportunity to understand the
impact of gender inequality and the
importance of promoting inclusivity.
Students expressed their gratitude for
the organization of the session,
appreciating the opportunity to learn
about gender equality. Women Cell
Coordinator Prof. Molly Dsouza and NSS
Coordinator Prof. Balkhis contributed to
the discussions and encouraged student
participation. The program was anchored
by Sufiya, a third-year BCom student.
The session concluded with a vote of
thanks delivered by Chaitanya, a
first-year BCom student.
