Flood Relief Fund Collection for Kodagu by NSS Unit @ Darshan College

‘We rise by lifting others’ – Robert Ingersoll. Darshan College took the initiative to collect relief material from the people in and around the college campus for the victims in rain-battered Kodagu. The Principal Rev. Fr. George Monis launched the program and appreciated the efforts of the volunteers who willing came forward to gather help for the victims of flood-torn Kodagu. There were 60 volunteers led by Dr. B. Manjula, NSS Program Officer and other 5 faculties who voluntarily joined this program. The march was held in 6 separate groups each headed by one faculty at different locations like Kengeri Statellite Town, Shirke, Dubasipalya, Nagadevahalli, Jayramdas, Rajarajeshwari Nagar and Kengeri. They collected in cash and kind whatever the generous people had to offer. The total amount put together was Rs. 33,000 in all. We can’t help everyone but everyone can help someone.
