Chefs in the making @ St Anthony’s PU College
Cooking is like painting or writing a song. Just
as there are only so many notes or colours,
there are so many flavours – it’s how you
combine them that sets you apart. In a
society where instant cooking is gaining
prominence, St Anthony’s PU College called for a
cooking competition to encourage students to
find joy in kitchen. Right amount of ingredients
put together in love, makes the best of recipes.
Many students zealously took part in the event
in groups of three. There were totally 35 groups
fighting tooth and nail for the first position.
Mrs Vidya Rani N who is an experienced Software
Engineer and Mr Shankarmurthi, Asst Professor,
Department of English, GFGC, Kengeri were the
jury members who after tasting every one of the
cuisines adjudged the winners. Cooking
requires confident guesswork and improvisation –
experimentation and substitution, dealing with
failure and uncertainty in a creative way.
