Blood Donation Camp @ Darshan College, Kengeri,
Bangalore.
“You don’t have to be a doctor to
save lives, just donate blood.” With this noble
thought NSS unit of Darshan College organized a
blood donation camp in partnership with Indian
Red Cross Society on 14th October 2017. The
objective of the event was to bring in awareness
among the students to volunteer and participate
in noble causes such as blood donation. The
event was coordinated by Prof. Jayamahadeva
Swamy M, Prof. Manjula and Prof. Divyashree.
Prior to the event, awareness was brought about
in and through poster making, slogan writing and
placards by voluntary students, along with
banners to collaborate with the public for the
event. The event witnessed a large number of
donors: Director, Principal, Science Co-Ordinator,
Faculty members, Administrative Staff, Students,
Parents, Neighbors, Rev. Brothers, Rev. Sisters
and the alumni of the College. The program
concluded with a thank you note by the Director
Rev. Fr. Alwyn Dias to all the participating
members and the volunteers. The Certificate of
Appreciation was presented by the Indian Red
Cross Society to the institution. “Give blood,
save life”!
