Fresher’s Day @ Darshan College, Kengeri, Bangalore
Bonhomie is the key ingredient for success in all our endeavors as it makes everyone feel important and cultivates a sense of belongingness. To sow the seed of this friendliness, happiness, conviviality and belongingness, the senior students organized Fresher’s Day for the new-arrivals. The Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Mahananda B Chittawadagi, Vice-Principal of KLE Nijalingappa College motivated the students with her own personal experience and examples from life: “have bigger dreams, set higher goals, seek something beyond, finally work towards it tirelessly till you achieve & realize it”. The Director, Rev. Fr. Alwyn Dias insisted that every student must look for constant and continuous up-gradation of knowledge, should equip oneself with skills, competence and expertise. The Principal Rev. Fr. George Monis, urged the students not to deviate from one’s vision and focus but persevere on the right path to realize the goals and aims efficiently. The event was further enhanced with various cultural activities and entertaining games for the Freshers. The Senior Students show-cased their talents, gifts and leadership qualities for welcoming the juniors and making them feel at home. Henceforth, all will walk hand in hand as darshanites in the spirit of bonhomie and camaraderie!
