Parents-Teachers Meet @ Darshan College, Kengeri, Bangalore.
“A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in College.” With this thought, for better co-ordination and collaboration Darshan College organised Parents-Teachers meet. The representatives lighted the lamp and invoked God’s abundant blessings. The Director, Rev. Fr. Alwyn Dias, addressed the Parent community and stressed on the paramount importance of parent-children bonding with the analogy of head, heart and hands. The resource person of the day Mr. Karthik Raju, Chartered Accountant and Co-ordinator of Pragna Learning Centre, gave an overview about the advantages of taking up competitive exams like CA, CPT, ICWA, IAS, KAS etc. The Principal, Rev.Fr. George Monis, enlightened the parents by laying down certain guidelines which the parents and students must follow in order to achieve the goals and objectives of being here. Prof. Chandrika, the HOD of Management, explained the various courses and its advantages, the availability of different cells and its benefits, possibilities of placements drives and the benefits of value-added courses. The Toppers of VI Sem-Bangalore University were felicitated and two of them Ms. Akshatha J. (92%) and Ms. Namratha E. (79.57%) shared their wonderful experiences and memories of the college, they assured the parents of the best holistic education and environment that which is prevails in the college. Indeed, Darshan College provides roots to grow and wings to fly!
